Bulldog Biophysics FAQ
From WikidChem
What is a wiki? A wiki is a web site designed to be easily edited by its members. It also keeps track of changes so that you can look at the history about how a page has changed. In this way, the Bulldog Biophysics wiki also serves as a record of biophysical activities here at Yale.
How do I get started? To start, you must register. Anyone can register as long as they have a valid e-mail address.
How do I enter an event? To enter an event, just click on the relevant date. If that date has no entries, you will be directed to an edit page. If that date already has an entry, you will be shown its formatted page. To make edits/additions, you click the edit tab at the top of the page.
How do I get cool formatting? The easiest way to learn the formatting codes is to click the edit tab on a page you like. Try this page! You will see it only took some single quote marks to make the bold entries. For extensive advice about formatting, click the editing help button on the bottom of any edit tab page.
Why does Bulldog Biophysics exist? The idea is to build a virtual community that fundamentally improves the quality and quantity of our real world biophysical experiences here at Yale.
Can people outside Yale use this site? Of course! For example, it would be good if outside speakers participated in forums leading up to and after their visit.
Can I get automatically notified when someone changes a page? Just click the button marked <Watch this page> at the bottom of any edit page. You'll get an email whenever that page is updated by someone other than you.
